Hawker Hart Family

The publishers have established a reputation for specialist model building books. In this Orange Series books, also known as MaxiSize, they have combined a solid history with the information that model makers and engineers need. The Hawker Hart family of aircraft was an extraordinary multi-role combat aircraft portfolio where the basic airframe was equipped with wheel, float and ski landing gear, with a selection of engines providing optimisation for particular roles. From 1928 to 1947, members of the Hart family served around the world. Following the tradition of the Bristol two seat fighter of WWI, the Hart was developed as a fighter, serving as a bomber and carrier plane, a catapult spotter, army co-operation and training aircraft. Totally outclassed in 1939 by the new generations of monoplane military aircraft, it continued in service and was used in combat.
