DESCRIPTION: Established readers of Conway’s famous Warship annual will be delighted to know that it fully subscribes to its well-established reputation and follows the familiar format. New readers will find this an absorbing and varied review of naval technology and operations, past, present and future. Highly Recommended.

Naval professionals will find this a very satisfying read, as will all serious enthusiasts. For all other readers, the book opens new insights into naval technology and warfare. For these latter readers, the significant launch period discount will be much appreciated.

Conway’s Warship has a long-held reputation that survived the death of its first editor and a number of changes in ownership. This second edition under Bloomsbury maintains the established quality in both content and presentation. There are many fine images and technical drawings in support of the text. The editor and assistant editor are both specialists in particular aspects of naval history and are joined once more by a group of writers who are each acknowledged specialists in their fields of naval interest.

Once more, Warship contains illuminating articles across a range of naval subjects. As always, well-written and absorbing. As always, even the best informed readers will find something that is unfamiliar of interesting.

After a selection of articles to peak every interest, there is a section with Warship Notes, followed by a selection of book reviews of what the Warship team consider important new books, and concluded with a warship gallery of drawings and images.

Another great edition.
