This book provides, in a picture storybook format, dark poetic stories with spectacular drawings. – Recommended The picture storybook has proved very popular and some of the finest have been published in France and North America. Riff Reb's was born in Algeria, but lived his formative years in Le Havre. Riff Reb's has become a leading figure in a new school of comic books and this selection of stories has been collected and translated into English in this new book. This is a very interesting presentation and the illustration is spectacular, depicting deep emotions by the use of dramatic staging of macabre colours, shading and cartoon faces. It has taken established stories that were originally textual and produced great force through the visual treatment.
